Over the river and through the woods ... To University Park we go!

Kelly came to visit last weekend, and I think I did a pretty good job of showing her the essential highlights. First we went and tailgated for a bit ...

Then we went to see the lion!

We had to wait in line, because it was homecoming weekend and everyone wanted to take their picture with him. Also, don't be fooled, it wasn't actually warm out, we just didn't want to be all bundled up for the photo shoot.

Then we went to the creamery and filled up on ice cream (I got the Autumn special which was like apple pie on a cone and Kelly got cookie dough). No pictures. I also bought mozzarella (tasty) and cream cheese (tastier).

THEN we went to The Cheese Shop (MORE CHEESE) and stocked up on cheese and crackers (and I bought loose tea, lavender and chai - YUM). We took a nap, then woke up and gorged ourselves on cheese ... Normal. Then we had our romantic dinner at The Corner, and went out. I added more Bacardi goods to my stash of alcohol-themed party favors from the bars - this time a hat and some necklaces. I'm building a substantial collection of this stuff.
